ERP adalah sistem informasi perusahaan berbasiskan perangkat lunak yang dikemas untuk menangani kebutuhan utama informasi perusahaan dan menjadi solusi bisnis strategis yang mengintegrasikan semua fungsi mencakup manufaktur, keuangan, dan distribusi dengan memfasilitasi aliran informasi antara semua fungsi dalam perusahaan. Pentingnya peranan ERP dalam proses bisnis membuat banyak perusahaan berinvestasi untuk mengimplementasikan sistem tersebut. Namun, hasil pengimplementasian dari sistem ERP sangat beragam dengan tingkat resiko yang sangat tinggi. Beberapa organisasi sangat sukses dalam pengimplementasian sistem ERP sedangkan banyak organisasi lain mengalami konsekuensi bisnis bagaikan bencana. Oleh karena itu, mengidentifikasi, mengelola dan menyadari manfaat ERP merupakan hal yang penting untuk dilakukan perusahaan. Dengan tujuan membantu perusahaan mengevaluasi Sistem Informasi yang dimilikinya, penelitian pengukuran manfaat bisnis pengimplementasian Sistem ERP ini dilakukan pada salah satu perusahaan manufaktur perkebunan. Pengukuran manfaat akan dilakukan terhadap lima dimensi manfaat pengimplentasian Sistem ERP penelitian Shang dan Seddon dan tujuh puluh tiga subkategori manfaat berdasakan penelitian Ranti. Dimensi manfaat tersebut antara lain dimensi operasional, dimensi manajerial, dimensi strategis, dimensi infrastruktur IT, dan dimensi organisasional. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui studi kasus dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan melakukan analisa gap sebelum dan sesudah diimplementasikannya ERP. Adapun hasil penelitian ini adalah PT XYZ mendapatkan manfaat pengimplementasian ERP dalam dimensi operasional, dimensi manajerial, dimensi strategis, dimensi infrastruktur IT, dan dimensi organisasional dengan total 25 kategori dan 41 subkategori manfaat diterima. Manfaat utama yang didapatkan adalah kemudahan akses informasi yang berdampak menghasilkan banyak manfaat lainnya seperti perbaikan analisis, perbaikan keputusan, dan perkembangan bisnis perusahaan. |

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a software solution which integrates all internal and external management information across entire organization‟s functions; embracing finance, manufacture, distribution, purchasing and others. Companies now are aware the critical function of ERP as their competitive advantage for their business. ERP is now invested and implemented with more
companies in many industries. However, implementation of ERP itself is very risky. The company should be careful and understand in choosing which ERP solution best for their business among all the choices available in the market. Some organizations have successfully proven that implementing ERP for their company has improved their business performance among the competitors while most organizations faced different result – failure and risk of ERP implementation. Therefore; to understand well, identify benefit, and maintain the ERP solution are very critical to any company who wants to successfully implement the ERP solution. Research about measuring the benefit of ERP implementation in a manufacturing plantation company (PT XYZ) was conducted to help the company evaluate their ERP solution. The benefit measurement was done using the five dimensions from Shang and Seddon method about ERP system implementation and using 72
subcategories of dimension from Ranti‟s research about the ERP benefits. Those benefit dimensions are operational dimension, managerial dimension, strategic dimension, IT infrastructure dimension, and organizational dimension. Qualitative approach was used in this research by doing gap analysis in two conditions; befor
and after EP being implemended. As the result of the research, PT XYZ has gained the benefit of ERP implementation in; operational dimension, managerial dimension, strategic dimension, IT infrastructure dimension, and organizational dimension with the
total of 25 categories and 41 subcategories accepted. The main benefit gained from the ERP PT XYZ implemented is the ease of information access which resulted to other benefits such analysis improvement, decision making improvement, and business performance improvement. |
