ABSTRAK

The development of information technology led to rapid organizational change in the pattern of operations. So many activities that the organization automated and integrated in order to improve organizational performance. Many organizations use information technology that make businesses in more tight competitive. To win the battle in the business world needs an information system that can speed up decision making, that is Business Intelligence (BI). This study aims to create a design in accordance with the BI needs of EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) in order to improve performance. The theories used are the Balanced Scorecard, The KPI Wheel, Business Intelligence, Fishbone analysis, metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards. The methodology uses a combination of the Balanced Scorecard and The KPI Wheel. EPC business process Tripatra used as a reference to determine the strategy map and each strategic goal determine metrics and KPIs to measure the performance of each Strategic Objective. The measurement are visualized in the scorecard and dashboard format. Simulation process carried out to solve one problem of EPC, that is exceeding of material purchasing. Fishbone analysis is used to known causes of the problems occurred, that is common Engineering design changes, not all purchases based on Engineering design, material code differences between divisions, and the inputted data is not complete. From the simulation result, it can be concluded that BI can help EPC to select the appropriate action for the actual conditions that occur, thus increasing the functionality and performance control.
