With the increasing of population growth in indonesia, the system services in various sectors of government needs to be improved. one of them is the use of information and communication technoloy (ICT) in the central government and local government. Environmental conditions in the system of governance this time is still tend to be local so that communication on saparate sectors become ineffcient. services-based service oriented architecture (SOA) is a reliable solution to accomadade the need of data on various sectors as a result of the data exchange problem among the sectors that are interconnected. with the implementation of SOA-based services that an application can synergize with other applications regardless of technology, data, application or environment where it is applied. this paper is expected to provide an understanding of the benefits of the application of SOA-based services on the applications of e-Government in indonesia.
