This paper presents a novel system that applies the advantages of the space invariance of telecentric triangulation and easy implementation of digital fringe coding projection profilometry. to achieve this process, the method utilizes a fresnel lens and an off-the-shelf projector to substitute the conventional generation method of paralleled structured light using laser system. the new method offers a linear relationship between the heigh of the object and the phase distribution of the deformed fringe pattern, and allows each system component to be flexible positioned. therefore only one system parameter needs to be calibrated, which can highly improve the calculation speed of 3D profile measurement. the validity and practicality of the technique are verifield by experiments. various phase unwrapping algorithms are implemented into the proposed measurement system to obtain the applicability of the system.
