The present paper deals with the problem of optimally joint decisions; replenishment schedule, retail price and wholesale price in a decentralized single-vendor stackelberg and single-buyer channel over a multi-period planning horizon. in addition, the channels with price-only contracts under retailer-managed inventory (RMI) and vendor-managed inventory (VMI) systems are respectively developed, using calculus-based formulation combined with dynamic progamming techniques. the analysis show that the solutions generated by the VMI system out perform those by the RMI system in the profits of the channel-wide, buyer and vendor.
