Pringsewu is one district in Lampung Province, Indonesian. This district passed into the district in the DPR Plenary Session on October 29, 2008, as a division of Tanggamus. The main livelihood of the population is farming and trade. Commodity that has been developed is the development of crops. To determine the suitability of crop on a farm can be done by conducting an assessment. Assessment conducted in determining the suitability of the Department of Agriculture in each - each farm in the district Pringsewu includes assessment criteria for an area. With criteria such as: temperature, rainfall, water, soil type, and type of fertilizer. Utilization of decision support systems are helpful in determining the suitability of an agricultural area and is accompanied by methods Simple Additive Weighting (SAW), this method was chosen because it is able to select the best alternative in the number of alternatives can complete the research by looking for the weight values for each attribute and then, performed ranking process that will determine the optimal alternatveve, the area suitable to be used as an agricultural area, especially crops. With the Decision Support System by using Simple Additive Weigthing (SAW) and system design applications using Borland Delphi will mempermudan Department of Agriculture and related agencies in developing the agriculture industry in the District Pringsewu.
