ABSTRACT

In this paper an overview is given on the current status and configuration of the JASIPAKTA network of LAPAN Indonesia, with connected sites at BPPT, Univ. Indonesia and ITB as well as international interoperability via X.25 with RWTH Aachen network and Univ. of Salzburg network. The current upgrading of the radio transmission links to 9.6/19.2 kbit/s and later to 28/56 kbit/s is described. In addition important aspects on medium access and performance in the packet radio network are discussed.
