Nowadays, web based products or services are becoming important part in
supporting a successful business especially Information Technology related business. But
among those millions of web based applications, there are still many web based
applications which cannot use easily, not interesting for the user or not function properly
as they have to. These problems prevent users to continue using the applications while
those applications are important applications for them and for the business.
This thesis is intended to analyze user experience in a web based application
throughout a case study. The case study is e-Proman application, a web based project
management application, which is used in Research & Development Center (RDC) unit of
PT TELKOM. Focus of the evaluation is on usability aspect of users which are designated
as Project Manager (PM) and Project Owner (PO). This thesis is using survey and
usability test methodology to collect data.
The study found eleven usability problems from e-Proman application. It shows that
user experience of e-Proman application still needs improvements. Results from the study
are improvement recommendations for e-Proman application based on user experience
analysis. The recommendations are to improve the quality of e-Promanís user experience.
