For 155 years, the Siemens name has been synonymous with cutting-edge technologies and continuous growth in profitability. With a wide array of products, systems and services, Siemens is a world leader in information and communications, automation and control, power, medical solutions, transportation and lighting. In Indonesia, Siemens has been active for almost 150 years and is established throughout the country with a total of 6 operating companies. Siemens currently has about 4,000 employees in the country with four manufacturing plants serving the domestic market and exporting throughout the region. With this high number of employees, PT. Siemens Indonesia (PTSI) saw the need to streamline its administration process, including the computer account administration. User administration processes are a responsibility of the Organization & Information-Computers & Networks (OI-CN) department in PTSI. The internship project was to build the Automatic User Administration (AUA) application, which helps to achieve higher efficiency in routine accounts administration tasks. Those tasks include the creation, modification, and removal of accounts. A user account is a combination of a network, email, and billing account, which is consequently managed through the Active Directory, Exchange 5.5 and the billing services. AUA was built on the Windows 2003 operating system, and is specifically for the internal use of PTSI. Until this report was completed, the AUA hasn’t been deployed in the productive environment of the PTSI network system.
