The number of industrial projects using both Ada language and X-Window environment is increasing. Thus, it becomes necessary to design a graphic toolkit in Ada to augment its reusability and extensibility and to avoid interface problems with other languages. We propose an Ada object oriented X- Window toolkit. The CENA, for which the project was designed, uses Ada as a basis for its various software developments. The toolkit concepts are adapted to object oriented design. Its implementation in Ada, a language which does not support some object oriented concepts, has needed building principal characteristics of these concepts like classes, inheritance, dynamic binding and inter-object communication in Ada language.
